It seems nowadays if u can hold a note, you're next in line to become this year's American idol. In a sea of one hit wonders who congest our air waves with no originality, it's good to see a breathe of fresh air has finally arrived. Brought up on old school soul and funk classics, David Chin was instilled with the sprit of music. Crowds would form at family gatherings whenever he danced and sang. Many pop culture icons ranging from the likes of Prince to Michael Jackson have accelerated his drive for music but none more than his very own father, musician Wayne Chin. At a very young age David was privileged to tour through out the U.S. with his father, a member of the world-renowned reggae soul group Chinafrica. He got his claim to fame when his father brought him up on stage and handed him the microphone. Captivating the audience, David was a natural and at the moment a star was born.
